For venous disease, treatment options may include: compression stockings, injection sclerotherapy, ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, micro-phlebectomy, endovenous LASER ablation (ELAS or EVLT), or a combination of those modalities. If you have arterial or lymphatic disease he will likewise review treatment options with you in detail. And if you have lipedema, Dr.Tapper is one of the few doctors in the USA that can help you.
The past few years have seen explosive growth in endovascular technology. Some of this technology is used inappropriately. Dr. Tapper is a vocal advocate for ethical patient care, patient education, and appropriate use of new devices.

Registered Nurse (RN)
Certified Medical Electrologist (CME)

She spent 15 years at Martin Memorial Medical Center and in 2005 she joined the team at Symmetry Vascular Center. Robyn received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University and has continued her professional training in other health care fields. In 2008, Robyn completed her studies for certification in medical electrolysis. She is nationally certified through the Society of Clinical and Medical Hair Removal. COSMETIC OFFERINGS BY ROBYN:
Laser Hair Removal
Symmetry offers laser hair removal by Robyn Fore R.N., B.S.N. who is experienced and fully licensed. Laser therapy is a highly effective method of removing or reducing unwanted body hair. Highly focused, intense beams of light target dark pigments in the hair follicles, destroying them with heat and preventing future hair growth. Multiple treatments are required 6–8 weeks apart for maximum results. The procedure is needle‐free and requires no anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight tingling sensation because Robyn uses the best laser available. Our Emvera Diolux laser uses the latest technology to provide painless effective hair reduction/removal. Our pricing is competitive and available at initial consultation.
Robyn is truly an expert at sclerotherapy for spider veins. Her fantastic needle skills mean less pain and bruising. Although spider veins are not as prominent as the larger varicose veins, we all know that they can be unsightly and symptomatic. Spider veins range in appearance from a thin, red line to purple clusters involving a large area of the leg. Injection sclerotherapy with Robyn is relatively painless and takes between 15–45 minutes depending on the extent of your veins. Using a very small needle, the vein is injected with dilute sodium tetradecyl solution. This irritates the lining of the spider vein and causes it to collapse. Improvement is usually visible within 6–8 weeks. There is no “down time” following treatment, however a few activities (aerobic exercise, hot showers, sunbathing) should be avoided for 4–5 days. The number of treatments depends on the extent of veins and your response to the injections.
